Who you are helping

How your contributions help

Sponsoring necessary seedlings provide healthy food to their families and community members

garden tools and accessories (e.g. shovel, spade, fork, compost, hose)

Families and schools in Soweto (Kliptown, Diepkloof & Lehae) provide healthy food

Help someone start a food garden in their community. You not only provide them with the means to feed their family but a chance to bring in income

Young fruit and indigenous trees

Schools, community meeting areas and individual family properties

By providing the means to improve the environment in which children and people learn and live. It also helps the environment

Owl box

Schools, communal areas, the environment and threatened bird species

Owls and other birds of prey complete a vital role in urban areas by reducing pest numbers. However in some cultures owls have a negative stigma surrounding them. Let’s start educating the youth about how owls fit in to our environment

Primary school uniforms

School in Lehae

As a new RDP development south of Johannesburg, Lehae is the product of a successful government project to remove people from informal dwellings. However the children of the new Lehae primary school come from poor families and cannot even afford school uniforms.

Church Choir Uniforms

Lehae Church Choir

Every community needs a spiritual outlet. The Lehae church choir provides the community with a means to pray to god. In order to unite this group, choir uniforms are essential, unfortunately most cannot afford them.

Stationary and books

Primary and high schools in Diepkloof, Soweto

Many public schools are not given enough from the government to provide their students with basic supplies such as stationary and books. In return many of the students come from disadvantaged families who can barely afford their school fees. Many stationary companies have starter packs for students ranging from primary school to high school.

Winter clothes, shoes and blankets

Children from disadvantaged communities

We all know how cold it can get in winter. Now imagine not having a jersey to keep you warm or even socks and shoes on your feet. Many of us take are wardrobe and winter comforts for granted. Let’s give some to others in need and spread the warmth to those who are cold.

Toys, nappies and baby accessories

Crèches in Soweto

Not many know of the crucial role local crèches play in communities. They provide a safe place and an environment of love and learning. However even these initiatives are in need of the basic essentials such as toys, arts and crafts equipment and even nappies.

Zozo hut

Crèches in Soweto

A Zozo hut is a transformed container now used to house and care for children. The huts provide sheltered areas for the toddlers to sleep play and learn. By donating a Zozo hut you are taking more children off the street and giving them a safe and monitored environment while their parents are away during the day.

Astro Turf

Crèches in Soweto

Although the women running crèches provide the children with as best a playschool as possible, the environment which they are situated can be dusty during the dry season and muddy in summer. By providing a crèche with Astro turf you provide a safe ground for the children to play on.
