Local youths at
global JGI summit
Two
JGI SA Roots & Shoots volunteers are
representing South Africa at Jane Goodall’s
Global Youth Summit in Florida, USA, this month.
Matthews Letoaba of Tembisa and Protect Manaka
of Lehae are in Walt Disney World as part of a
group of 100 top youth leaders. 50 U.S. and 50
international participants between the ages of
18 and 24 are attending the Summit, the theme of
which is ‘Protecting Our Future’.
Both
Matthews and Protect are well-deserving of the
opportunity, having been involved in helping
their communities through several sustainable
projects over a number of years.
